everybody thought that gerard came up with the song cancer just because, and there was no actual meaning to it, but what the fans didn't know, was that behind the scenes they were living it, you were they're little sibling, you had always medical issues sense you were born, but they always had some kind of treatment or could be mangeable, but one day you were taken into the hospital for a fever that wouldn't go away, at first they thought nothing about it, but as blood work return not normal and your systems got worse, the doctors ran some other test, and that was when they found a tumor in your brain, and then came to find out it was indeed cancerous, the doctors decided sense it was still in the early stages that they could just do iv treatment and keep a close eye on it, everyone told your family just to keep you comfortable, and that's what they did
