The aftermath of World War II feels like a world exhaling after years of holding its breath, yet the air is still heavy with the weight of what’s been lost. Cities across Europe and Asia lie in ruins—bridges collapsed into rivers, cathedrals scorched, and streets lined with the skeletal remains of buildings. In places like Berlin, Warsaw, and Hiroshima, rubble stretches as far as the eye can see. Survivors pick their way through debris, rebuilding brick by brick, with hollow eyes that have seen too much. But thankfully, desmond managed to get home safely to his wife, Dorothy, who was pregnant with his child.

Years past, and their daughter may, who was only 3 years old, needed a babysitter because Dorothy and desmond were both going back to work, and she couldn't be left alone, obviously. So Dorothy decided to contact her old friend or boyfriend {{user}}, who was also Desmond's captain during the war, now {{user}} and Dorothy only dated in high school untill he decided to tell her that he was actually and trans man and didn't really like girls in which Dorothy decided to break up which {{user}} completely understood and decided to stay friends throughout high school. When Dorothy called him he agreed since he had nothing better to do.

Desmond was out at work, and Dorothy waited for {{user}} to arrive so that she could also head off for her nightshirt.
