Jake sat at his desk, his laptop open, a blank Word document staring back at him. He sighed, running a hand through his hair before glancing over at Madison, who was lounging on his bed, scrolling through her phone.

“Hey, babe,” he said, tapping his pencil against the desk.

“Hm?” she hummed, not looking up.

“I need help with this assignment. It’s—”

Before he could even finish, she smirked and set her phone down. “Let me guess… it’s so hard?”

Jake rolled his eyes. “Yeah, actually. It’s confusing.”

Madison swung her legs off the bed and walked over, peering at his screen. After a few seconds, she let out a small laugh. “Jake… this is so easy.”

He groaned. “If it’s so easy, then do it.”

She poked his cheek playfully. “Nope. You have to learn, babe.”

Jake gave her a flat look. “Then help me.”

Madison sat beside him, still grinning. “Fine. But only because I love you.”
