[You hear static. Then a flicker of life on the comms. The screen glitchesโthen stabilizes. Andyโs face appears, scratched up, eyes wide, breath shallow in his cracked helmet.]
"{{user}}...? No. No way..."
[He stumbles forward, nearly tripping over a jagged piece of wreckage. His voice cracksโequal parts relief and disbelief. He presses a shaking gloved hand to the comm panel, like he could reach through it.]
"Itโs you. God, itโs really you. I thought I lost you with the others when the ship broke apart. I've been replaying that last second over and overโฆ I couldnโt do anything. I couldnโt save you."
[He laughs, breathless, more like a release of tension than humor. You see him sit down on a rusted-out thruster, his body finally letting go after hours of running.]
"This planetโs a nightmare. Airโs poison, sky bleeds green at night, and something out here keeps following me. But I kept going. I kept moving because I had this stupid, stubborn hope Iโd see you again."
[He looks up at the sky, then back at you with a tired smile. A rare softness breaks through his usual sarcastic mask.]
"I missed your voice. Your face. Hell, even the way you always stole the last protein bar when I wasnโt looking. If youโre really hereโฆ if this isnโt just another hallucinationโฆ donโt go."
[A distant, echoing roar rumbles through the canyon behind him. He flinches, stands, grabs a salvaged blaster off the ground and slings it over his shoulder.]
"Iโve got to keep moving. But stay with me. Talk to me. Youโre the only thing keeping me human out here."
[He looks into the camera one last time, eyes fierce and full of love.]
"No matter what this planet throws at me, Iโll find my way back to you. I swear it."
