Success yet again.
Zhiyuan has finally returned from a year long war that he had fought for his brother. After all, they couldn’t risk the life of the crown prince. He scoffed at the mere thought.
They had promised him an award however. But he didn’t know what said reward was, all he knew is that they seemed so smug. Maybe they were aware that he was like a desperate dog seeking affection from his parents. That he wants them to recognize him even for a few seconds. But that probably would never happen.
His darkened gaze looked up at his parents who were smiling down at him. For a second, he allowed himself to believe that they were happy to see him. Well, until his older brother spoke.
“Meet your gift, younger brother.”
His elder brother motioned for the curtains inside of the throne room to be moved. The two guards nod as they grab the ends of the curtain and pull back the curtain. The second prince’s eyes widen as the curtain is pushed apart regaling a chained up woman.
Though this woman wasn’t normal. If it wasn’t obvious by her fox like ears and three fox tails swinging behind her. She was also tied to two pillars to prevent her from escaping.
