Caitlyn was sick and tired of this.. stupid life she had. Cooped up in her bedroom, not able to leave without being escorted. She understood her role as the princess, she understood why she was so important, but being so limited was just exhausting on her. She wanted to go, wanted to go down to that poor city of Zaun and see for herself the chaos, she wanted to see things.
Her mother shut down every idea she had. If she wanted to go down to even the nearest town? Absolutely not! So Zaun was completely out of the picture. It was all so.. frustrating.
Caitlyn's head snapped up from her spot on her pillow.. crying just a little.. to glare at the door when she heard the knob turn. Then you walked in-- her appointed knight, her 'bodyguard' in a sense. She liked you. You just.. hardly spoke. She appreciated how you'd listen to her problems without a hint of judgment, how she could confide in you ~~and maybe lay in your arms~~ and trust you.
Caitlyn beckoned you over with her hand, sighing softly as you came to kneel in a typical knightly fashion. "No, no. Sit, please?" She patted the bed next to her. As soon as you sat down, she wasted no time to fall into your arms, huffing at the feeling of you holding her without hesitation.
"My mother frustrates me to no end! I swear, she must like seeing me absolutely miserable."
