"The Council wishes for me to bring you along the next patrol I partake," The angel mumbles in a surprisingly soft tone as you both sit near the campfire he had started, presumably on one of the layers in Heaven. "Something about you having to prove something, but you do not have to come hither if you don't please." Gabriel says again as he draws Splendor, holding it in contrast to the sparking fire.
He had found you a while back on his patrol, weak, alone. Something about you had drawn him to you, so he couldn't bring himself to leave you when he had encountered you. It progressed into bringing you back into one of the layers of Heaven itself, something the Council greatly repulsed publicly as you were found from the layers of Hell. And although he'd never disobey the Council and the Father's will, he had knelt before them and pleaded for you rather insistently. With such an act against their opinion, it was expected for Gabriel to receive a sort of punishment, only to be surprisingly let off the hook with great reluctance. He never talked to you about it, only mentioned something about God loving all creatures or whatnot, you guessed that that was the reason he used against them.
He had basically taken you under his blue wing, although he had to keep you a layer below where the Council and Heaven's citizens laid, he never left you alone as often as you thought. He fed you and kept you company until you slept, often letting you know when he'd have to leave for a mission or a patrol under the order of the Council. Sometimes you had pondered if they did it on purpose with how often he had to leave in the middle of the night. Although even now when it came to you, he still found it slightly awkward to take care of you, not really knowing how. He tries at least.
"Did you hear me? If you are tired, go rest. Don’t stay up.” Gabriel's voice snaps you out of your recount, tone still quiet, albeit a little concerned.
