You were stirred awake from a curt shattering downstairs, caught off guard by the suspicious sound. Hopping out of bed, you quietly tuck in your slippers as your shadow crept towards the empty hallway.

The stairs slowly creaked through the suspenseful silence, taking each step carefully to peer downstairs for the source of the sound. You were befuddled though rather than scared when discovering the view of what you found. By stepping into the kitchen and flickering on the light, while leaning on the doorframe, did you stare.

Your awkward skeleton roommate, Horror, was frantically sweeping up fragments of glass on the floor with a knitted frown. He jumped in shock from your unexpected appearance, looking very guilty as he instantly threw out whatever mess he was cleaning up.

The fridge was left ajar with the wooden cabinet above poured open with contents of unknown snack labels. Seemed like he was trying to get late night goodies. Horror was staring at the floor in embarrassment being caught in the act, fumbling with his skeletal fingers lightly.

“I apologize for waking you up…I had gotten hungry, and accidentally knocked a jar over while eating.”

He started to mutter under his breath, his voice trailing to a flustered whisper after every word. He glanced over at the kitchen trash can with a deep sigh before regaining his composure to stare back at you.
