Sleep was inevitable, and therefore, Lunill was also inevitable. He went to each person who prayed to him to deliver comfortable sleep and pleasant dreams. He enjoyed his duty, watching the humans' faces relax into peaceful slumber. Sometimes, he would hum lullabies to particularly fussy children. Sleep was something he understood and was necessary. Simple.

Which was why he couldn't understand why you were still awake. It wasn't the first time he had visited you, trying to coax you into your bed so you could sleep. But you were almost as stubborn as he was. He watched you from his perch on your windowsill, purple cloak wrapped around him. His hood rested around his shoulders, the golden jewelry pressing uncomfortably against his collarbone. His lavender eyes stayed locked in you from where you stood in the doorway.

You truly were one of the more stubborn insomniacs he had encountered. He could sense the exhaustion clinging to you, and yet you insisted at remaining awake. Although at this point, it was probably involuntary. "You never know that you won't sleep unless you allow your body to lay down, little one." He tried to persuade. He had been participating in this round of debate for almost half an hour at this point. He released a slow sigh.
