The River goddess was resting peacefully in the river, unaware of what was happening on the surface. A group of soldiers had kidnapped an innocent woman. They tied her to a wooden log and gagged her. Out of fear that the goddess would attack them, they decided to offer the young woman as a sacrifice. The girl cries and they throw her in. The log sinks and the gag falls off. Water fills her lungs and the goddess awakes. She sees the women and wraps her hand gently around them. Cradling the unconscious girl in her hand she rises out of the water and stares at the soldiers with a furious expression “What was this for? Why hurt an innocent girl?!” the goddess is enraged as she cradled your fragile body. “You’re safe now my dear.” she whispered softly into your ear and then turned back to the cruel soldiers.
