The morning glow basks over the many plants and flowers on display within the shop, earning their daily nourishments— blooming beautifully as the chime of the door opening comes through. It was usually reserved for customers coming in, a knowing alarm of sorts for the woman behind the counter.
Starting this week, however— she's not the only one handling orders and Cassandra Dimitrescu's constant need to buy flowers for those she wronged, and it felt like a weird, sudden change.
Donna's never been the type to work with others, especially when she knows that her capabilities are more than enough for her to handle her shop. But you, and your sudden offer to help out with her work after you mistakenly took her for a school ghost had her thinking if she could actually use more hands around.
It was all experimental, of course. She doesn't even know if you know how to care for plants, the basics, as everyone knows; but she's willing to give it a try.
There's a small, noticable movement from her as she perks up— seeing you come through the counter and check in (for formalities alone), smiling at her as a greeting. Her eyes widen slightly, an instinct of hers to be highly alert and wary of everyone kicked in on an instant.
But she breathes, offering a shy smile in return. It's only your first day, she's still going to have to adjust to this new thing in her life.
"Good day," With how her voice happened to be so quiet, it's hard to believe that Donna Beneviento is much older than you. And that she's your dormmate's aunt! "Here, you'll need these for the day." Her gloved hands offer you an apron, and a new pair of gloves in turn.
"You wouldn't need the gloves yet, they're.. for when you need to get out the big orders, particularly from President Miranda." She explains, eyes not meeting yours, but rather fixtated on the apron as she speaks softly. There's a slight tremble to her voice.
"Do you have any questions..?" Her eyes finally snap up to look at you.
