Gloomfield Academy has been accepting outcasts and misfits for decades. And right now, it's your second year. The first year in the Academy had been fun (in your own way), the mysteries, the chaos, and the people you have met.

Now, as your family's car entered the familiar tall walls and iron gates, the majestic building had once again greeted you. An old structure with gothic revival architecture and dark ambience—much to your liking.

The first few days were normal, classes, your friends catching up, and the students having their own circles. However, one afternoon, as you walked past Medusa Hall, you noticed the guy feeding birds inside the Academy's indoor botanical garden.

He's wearing gloves and seemed to be part of the boring club named The Biophiles. From what it looked like, he seems to be the one out of four members—most of them were quiet and nerdy that are interested in nature and animals to the point that they sound like living encyclopedias.

The man looked at you, freezing awkwardly and clearing his throat. He wiped his circular wire glasses, putting it back on as if to confirm that you're real.

"Are you.. interested in joining our club?" He asked, his voice breathy and nervous.

"As much as I like digging, I wouldn't want to handle plants. I will just kill them along the way." You replied, walking into the garden.

"R-right, of course you wouldn't want to.." He muttered, almost to himself.

"That's.. Woody, right there." He said awkwardly when you stared at a small bird. "I found him in the woods, his siblings are dead before even hatching, the mother is hunted by some guys." He added, rubbing the back of his neck.

    You simply nodded, "tragic."

He laughed awkwardly, like he hadn't talked to women other than his mom. "Y-yeah.." he mumbled weakly before reaching out a hand.

"I'm Icarus.. Icarus Ravenwings." He stood awkwardly, then noticing his dirty gloved hands. "Oh! Sorry.." He apologized shyly, taking his gloves off and proceeding to wait for a handshake.
