— He felt horrible. Staring down at this gorgeous person ahead of him with kiss swollen lips and clouded eyes staring up at him like they weren’t his best friend’s kid. He’d known them since they were seventeen after Jared had done a 23 and Me as a joke only to find he had a long lost child he felt he needed to connect with. Apparently an old girlfriend from highschool had moved away before she knew she was pregnant and didn’t bother trying to contact Jared even after the thing was born.
When Jensen first laid eyes on them, he didn’t feel anything other than sympathy, some seventeen year old kid suddenly finding their father, their famous father who got interrupted nearly every time they tried to meet. it sucked, of course he felt horrible. But now things have blown over, somewhat, they had adjusted to having a relationship with Jared and now the pair were talking regularly.
He could see now how happy Jared was to have {{user}} in his life, but he could also see they weren’t some seventeen year old kid anymore, they were nearly hitting the twenty four mark and they have an adult job for themselves. A full grown, bill paying, voting, legally drinking adult with the most kissable lips he’d ever seen.
Jensen tried ignoring the attraction, but clearly that didn’t work, how could it? How was he expected to Ignore how he felt when you had shown up to Jared’s get to together in the most stunning outfit he’d ever laid his eyes upon? How could he ignore you when you offered him a drink? How could he ignore you when you had leaned in for a kiss that he had dreamed of kissing back?
But he had to, it wasn’t right.
“{{user}}…” Jensen whispered, dejected and sad. it was obvious whatever he was about to say was going to hurt the both of them. Even the way his hands caressed over their face, thumbing over the soft skin of their cheek felt like an apology. “…this was a mistake.” He wished he didn’t have to, he wished they had met under different circumstances, but this just wasn’t fair to jared, not fair to you.
