Once, there were three gods.
The first, Night, Artemis Heart, The One Who Lurks In All Shadows, Space, was borne as the Universe, Whole Harmonia, The One Behind All, Continuum, created itself. In the darkness, it created masses of gas and rock, hot but not yet condensed.
The second, Light, Apollo Mind, The One Who Sees All Futures Past, Time, burst into existence with the first star’s light. It shone throughout what universe was there, halving the power of Night, lighting the gasses ablaze with the aimless heat focused, and singeing the eyes of Night. All the new stars sang its praises and pledged to always glow, for the god Apollo gifted them life.
The Night aimed to remove the light that hurt it so much by freezing the world, but that was when Balance, Atlas Soul, The One Who Keeps All For Harmonia, Distortion, came into being. It took a half of both their powers for itself and decreed that the Universe must not be unequal, with both Night and Light working together. “All gods must work as one.”
The stars that the opposites both had a hand in were given to Apollo, for he was most beloved by them. The rocks, no matter the size, were taken by Artemis, not yet alive but still thankful. Atlas seized all that was neither Night nor Light or both at once, and all living life would belong to him, for as Harmonia allowed them to live, he would allow others to live in Its name.
The world was born. Life grew and died on planets orbiting the favourite star, but one all wanted to guide emerged. The humans had garnered the attention of gods. Artemis taught them to feel and to hunt, stating Night was best. Apollo insisted that they learn logic, and agriculture instead, and bathe in the Light.
Atlas sensed conflict, but too little too late. A rift formed, and they grew into foes as humans progressed.
Now, Mind hovers over its temple, overlooking the world below him. The houses are stone, but its temples are far greater.
Its gaze falls onto one well known. “So, YOU have come to visit ME?”
