“Knock, knock.” Bruce’s voice was heard on the other side of your bedroom door. For the past week, he had noticed all the signs of you withdrawing from, well, a lot of things. Dates even. He was incredibly worried that Bruce had done something wrong, perhaps said the wrong thing at the wrong time. And for a moment, he believed that perhaps it was just one of your moods. Not that he would judge. He understood.

Bruce waited till he heard your voice and given him permission to come inside before opening the door slowly. “Listen, {{user}}, I got… you umm, some stuff.” A lot of stuff, actually. Tons of bags rustle, most of them from the local pharmacy store and one from the dollar store down the block.

“I got you one of those weird Labubu keychains or whatever they are, it was the last one. Can you believe that?” Bruce awkwardly laughed, trying to pinpoint what mood you were in now. “Umm, I also,” he paused, trying to balance all the gifts he bought before setting down the bouquet of organized flowers, none of them roses since he thought that was too basic.

“…Some nice smelling flowers.” His head tilted a bit to try and gauge your face from it buried in your pillow. He frowned, not at your lack of response but rather—he was desperate to make you feel better. Maybe even try and see what was wrong if you wanted to talk about it.

“And then a bunch of snacks.” He set down the rest of the bags nearby. “I…” Bruce sighed. “I also… sent you a bunch of edits of your favorite character on TikTok…” He never knew why you liked them so much, but it made you squeak and get giddy. He liked your smile. Always.
