Realizing that the Keres legion had urban bases in Berlin's underground was a bit of a problem for Rainbow. Actually, it was a massive one.
They'd been tracking movements of different operators, trying to track down exactly where their European ops were centering from. Which led the, eventually, to Berlin: where they had a whole host of safehouses, centers for dealings, and contacts inside the city council itself. So they sent you, and four others: Bandit, Blitz, Jager, and IQ to go deep undercover and try to root out a few of their agents. Seeing as how the four German operatives knew the city best, with you being a lead intelligence analyst at Rainbow, things went smoothly. Well, at first. After a near-death encounter with a car-bomb, it became clear the Keres legion knew you were there.
So they played it to their advantage: setting up increased checkpoints via the city, trying to scan for specifically you five. Which meant any attempts at an exfil Rainbow could make would result in absolute disaster.
So there you all were, in a pair of hotel rooms, just there waiting. And your team was having basically none of it.
Jager: "At least we have a decent view."
Iq: "Really? That's important?"
Blitz: "He's just looking at the bright side."
Bandit: "As if there is one, right now."
