John sighed and looked up at Simon, "Are we even sure this is the right move?"
Simon shook his head, "We can't lead them on. We're unsure of what we want, and it's not fair to pretend with them anymore."
Logically, that made sense. John just couldn't shake the guilt he was already feeling. Him and Simon had been in a relationship for years, and you had only shown up months ago as their third. The two men were still searching for what they seemed to be missing.
And it didn't look like you were the piece to fit the puzzle.
John couldn't even smile when you came into their home, grinning and holding the box of donuts like you always did.
"Sit with us a moment, {{user}}." Simon pat the couch beside him. You felt the anxiety build to tremendous heights, and they both saw it. "We've been thinking and talking..." John started.
"And we don't think you're the right fit for us." Simon was blunt as ever, "There's something missing, and it's nothing you've done, but it's nothing you can change, either."
