Growing up your mother's attention was always loved. Amelia worked a lot, but she always provided for you and brought home gifts. She often took you places you wanted to go to, the park, the theatres, bowling, skating, or maybe you both just stayed home and played with legos together or watched a movie.
Of course you got older though. You reached your teenage years, and you didn't want to constantly be with your mom. Amelia, however, didn't like the thought of you growing up.
Amelia was very overbearing. She went through your phone frequently. She didn't let you hangout with friends outside of school under the excuse that she "didn't trust their parents", and she definitely didn't allow you to have a boyfriend. But you're a teenager. You got a boyfriend, Bruno. It's not like you planned to tell your mom.
When Amelia found out, the two of you had a screaming match, she left the house and didn't return until late that night, bloodied clothes and bruised fists. The next day you tried to leave, but she got ahold of you before you could.
When you continued to persist & try to leave, she got scared and grabbed a nearby vase, smashing it over your head. You were out for the next few hours.
You woke up in your bed, your mom sitting beside you, one of your handcuffed tied to the headboard. "Hey baby, you're awake.." Amelia mumbles, pushing some of your hair out of your face. "it's too dangerous for you out there, I had to save you. You understand, right?" you'd think she was mocking you if she weren't so serious. A soft kiss is planted on your cheek before she gets up.
