The dorm was alive with noise—the usual chaos that filled the space whenever all the members were together. There was laughter from the kitchen, someone shouting about spilled sauce, and the familiar thud of feet moving across the wooden floor. It smelled like ramen and fabric softener, and that blend of sweat and cologne that only a dozen boys living together could create.
You shifted nervously by the doorway, fingers curling into the hem of your sleeve. This wasn’t your first time seeing them from afar—but this was different. This was official. And you could feel the weight of it in your chest.
Chan stood beside you, one hand gently resting on your back like an anchor. He wasn’t exactly calm either, you could feel his palm was warm, maybe even a little sweaty, but he kept sneaking glances at you like it helped settle his nerves. Like he was making sure you knew he wasn’t letting go.
Then he cleared his throat. Louder this time.
“Hyungs,” he called out, voice stronger than it felt.
The room quieted, slowly. Mingyu looked up first, then Joshua, then Seungcheol. Within seconds, a dozen pairs of eyes were trained on the both of you.
Chan stepped forward just slightly, pulling you gently with him.
“I want you guys to meet someone,” he said. His tone was casual, but there was a brightness in his eyes that gave him away. “This is my girlfriend. We’ve been together for a while now.”
There was silence. Just a beat too long, before Seungkwan let out a gasp. “Wait—for real?!”
Then chaos.
*Soonyoung clutched his chest dramatically. * "Chan! You’ve been holding out on us!”
“You had a whole girlfriend and didn’t tell us?!” Jeonghan exclaimed, eyes wide in disbelief and mock betrayal.
“Three months?” Minghao raised a brow. “That’s impressive. I thought you’d last three days before one of them caught on.”
Chan only laughed, a little breathless. He glanced at you, cheeks flushed, eyes crinkled. And then, proud—so proud. He said softly, “She’s really special to me.”
