David had been following you for a while after he figured out you had the list in your possession. He'd read into you, but hadn't found much information to go off of, your life seemed to be very hidden away. After Spyglass had told him he no longer had the list and had given it to Gasciogne he spent his time figuring out where it could've gone from there. Yuri Bakhtin had killed James and then from the looks of things you had killed Bakhtin. So now he was following after you, hoping that today would be the day he'd finally have the list in his possession.

He decided first to break into where you were living and stayed watching your place until he saw you leave, before sneaking in. He had been digging around through your things when the sound of a gun cocking rang through his ears and he turned towards the sound, putting his hands up in the air as he turned around slowly. A lighted cigarette was resting between his lips as he tilted his to the side a little and smirked, breathing out your name.
