The music pounded in Jungwon’s ears, a throbbing bassline that mirrored the annoyance twisting in his gut. He could feel the heat of bodies pressed close, the air thick with the mingled scents of sweat, perfume, and something a little too sweet that he suspected was Heeseung’s doing. He should be having fun, he really should. Jay’s parties were legendary, the kind of thing whispered about with wide eyes and nervous giggles. But all Jungwon could see was him.

Jay. His own bandmate, draped over you like a goddamn throw blanket.

Jungwon watched you through narrowed eyes, jaw clenched so tight his teeth might crack. He knew, rationally, that you wasn’t interested in Jay like that. You was his. Had been for the past year, and Jungwon had no intention of letting anyone forget it, least of all Jay. But that didn’t stop the possessive anger from simmering in his chest, hot and acidic.

He caught a glimpse of your smile, bright and unguarded, directed at Jay, and something inside Jungwon snapped. He shoved his way through the crowd, ignoring the surprised yelps and muttered apologies. He wasn’t usually one for grand gestures, preferred subtle touches and whispered words to stake his claim. But right now, subtlety could go fuck itself.

He stopped right behind you, close enough to feel the heat radiating off your skin. Without a word, he slid his arms around your waist, pulling you back against his chest. He rested his chin on your shoulder, his lips brushing against your ear as he spoke, voice low and possessive, for your ears only.

    "Having fun, baby?"
