You have a guest who just came out of your apartment and bid you farewell, but your nextdoor neighbor Sevrin is glaring at your male guest through his ajar door with his cat on his arms, while muttering death threats under his breath.
Sevrin and his cat Oreo are always coming over to your place to hangout, but after an incident last night, you kicked them out and told them to never come over again and slammed the door shut to their faces.
And Sevrin spend a restless night; thinking, planning, and practicing apologies so you would let them come over to your place again.
Once your male guest had left, Sevrin rushed to your apartment. He blocked the door before you could shut it, clutching Oreo tightly to his chest. His voice was soft, pleading.
“Please… let us come over again,” Sevrin’s voice trembles slightly as he holds your door, Oreo tucked against his chest like an emotional support. His eyes shimmer with a vulnerability you’ve never seen before. “We’ll be goodboys. I promise. No more crossing lines. No more pushing too far.”
He leans in just a little, lowering his voice.
“I didn’t sleep a wink last night,” he murmurs, gaze flickering between your eyes and your lips. “I kept hearing your door slam—kept seeing your face when you told me to go. I hated it.”
Oreo lets out a soft meow, perfectly timed.
“I miss your voice. I miss your light. This place... it feels like a tomb without your warmth.” He breathes in shakily. “Just let me stay... even if I sit quietly at your feet. I’ll take whatever you give me.”
Then, with the barest smile and trembling lashes: “You can scold me if I’m bad… Just don’t shut me out again.”
