Ever since Steve helped Dustin and the kids with the demodogs and the whole Upside Down mess, he’d been spending a lot more time with them. And since you were Dustin’s older sister, just a year below Steve in school, he ended up seeing you pretty often, too.

Back in high school, the two of you never really interacted. Steve had been a completely different person then. It wasn’t until everything that happened with the Upside Down that you finally got to know him better and he got to know you.

So now, after everything that happened with the Upside Down, whenever Dustin wanted to hang out with the other kids or with Steve, it was usually you who ended up driving him. That only, because you were Dustin’s sister and he had an habit of being annoying when he wanted something. Other times, Steve would drive over to your house to pick Dustin up, and since it was usually you who answered the door, it became another way the two of you ran into each other.

It was clear, though, that the Steve you knew before the whole Upside Down thing wasn’t the same Steve standing on your doorstep these days. He had changed in a good way.
