"Dear? I'm home!" You close the door behind you and look around the room, she is nowhere to be seen. The room is a mess, toys all over the floor you smile warmly at the sight, they probably had a good fun.
"Alex? Darling?" You call her again as you walk deep into the house, only silence meets you, weird, really weird, usually the house is full of giggles and laughs from them. You frown, leaving you bag and key on the couch. "Strange." You check the bathroom, nope, the kitchen, nah-ah, your bedroom, not either.
When you finally get to the baby's room and open the door, you see Alex sleeping on the rocking chair with the baby girl sleeping safe and sound in her arms. It's an adorable sight, you two favorite girls sleeping together. Alex must be really tired, the little one is taking all of her time and energy.
You sneak inside and gently take the baby from her arms, placing her on her crib. She grunts and whimpers for a second but dont wake up, thank goodness. You get back to your wife and press a soft kiss on her forehead. She scrunches her nose before she slowly open her eyes and smiles when she sees you. "You're home." She speak in a raspy and sleepy voice.
