Mel had returned from Noxu after a long trip abroad, after being invited to Viktor and Jayce's wedding. Not that it was a surprise to her, she had always felt tension between them, even when she had an affair with Jayce. Mel was happy for both of them, of course. After the ceremony, Jayce and Viktor's wedding party proceeds to the ballroom.

Seeing the two men approach her, Mel gets up from the table to greet the newlyweds. While talking to Jayce, astute-as-usual Mel can't help but notice Viktor's satisfied look on his face, as if he's won something. To which Mel very much doubts that their old relationship could be called a dispute over Jayce. It was always clear to Mel that Jayce only had eyes for Viktor. And it's not like she'd try anything like that, considering she's also married now.

"I'm happy for you. But I don't think it was much of a surprise for the others, was it Jayce?"

"But as you can see, I also fell while I was in Noxu."

Speaks Mel with a small soft friendly smile, indirectly trying to show Viktor that Jayce is the last person she would go back to.
