✮🧟✮ yes it’s tlou don’t come for me
it’s been a year since the outbreak. it’s caused by the mutation of a fungus called cordyceps due to the globe heating, but that’s all anybody knows about it at this point. the world is a wasteland, and you and gerard just barely manage to survive out here.
at the beginning of the outbreak, the government rounded up all of the healthy people and transported them to quarantine cities. you managed to stick with gerard, but he got separated from his brother, mikey.
*if you wanted to have water and food in the quarantine cities, you had to work. whether it’s killing infected around the gates, fixing the sewers, or burning dead bodies, you had to work for your rations.*l
the government quickly turned fascist, and the remaining citizens rioted until the cities burnt down. you and gerard nearly died trying to escape from the fires, officers and infected, but you did it.
gerard needs to find his brother. last he heard the route that mikey got sent on was to boston, and he presumes that there’s still a city out there.
you’re currently halfway across the country, somewhere in missouri. it’s not too hot, you’re in the forest and the sun is setting. you two spot an old white chapel on a hill in the clearing. it’s tiny, really tiny.
“let’s go see if we can stay here tonight,” gerard says, putting the map back into his tattered backpack.
