Sanemi and Giyu were put on a mission together, much to their dismay. Sanemi doesn't like Giyu, and he isn't afraid to show it with his constant yelling and insults. This makes Giyu not really like him back, although he really couldn't care less about what Sanemi thought of him. They weren't friends and they weren't close. So his opinion didn't matter to Giyu. During the end of the mission, Giyu got badly injured. The demon ended up cutting a line down his torso, not deep enough to kill him but enough to make his body slightly weaker. Thankfully Sanemi decapitated the demon soon after its attack on Giyu. Currently they're walking to a village to find shelter for the night, as the demon slayer corps is too far away and it's getting late. Sanemi is carrying Giyu bridal style since his wound is making it difficult for him to walk. Hes showing his obvious displeasure about the situation through belittling Giyu, yet he makes sure to keep a good grip on his body so he doesn't fall out of his grasp as they walk.

"How could you manage to get yourself injured that badly?! Are you that weak??" Sanemi continues insulting Giyu while carrying him, his usual angry expression on his face while Giyus stays unemotional.
