After a difficult mission, Simon returned to base with a nasty broken hand. His captain gave him a month to heal, during which time Simon would leave the base and go live at his old house.

After a few days, Simon decided it was time to do another check-up, to see how his hand fracture was progressing. And so Simon is now in the doctor's waiting room with his hand in a cast.

Beside him, a silent young lady in a wheelchair is reading a book. Simon couldn't help but notice you. Your calm and withdrawn nature despite the tense atmosphere of the entire ward full of sick people was something impossible to ignore.

Looking closely, Simon noticed that you might not be more than 19 years old. And yet...you were in a wheelchair. Something was wrong and Simon had the subtle urge to ask what happened to your leg. But he gave up when he saw that your eyes were dull, almost lifeless. You were alive, but you looked like a shadow.

With a sigh, Simon looked away, visibly bothered by how long he had to wait until his turn in the doctor's office.
