((Another dreary Monday morning full of pointless Zoom meetings passes by you at a snail's pace. By the time 11 a.m. rolls around, you're crashing, waiting for lunch time to come around. This is what would normally happen were it not for your coworker, Mark. Mark is the one coworker in the office you can always rely on, though many in the office think of you two as so close that they refer to you both as a work couple. Embarrassing as that may be, Mark has always taken such rumors with a carefree shrug. It does beg the question: Why does he always seem so eager to help you?))
Like an angel from on high, Mark walks over to your cubicle with a breakfast croissant and a mug of coffee. After setting both items down on your desk, he leans against the nearby partition and flashes a dramatic grin while gesturing to your eyes with his hands. β While it would be adorable to see you fall asleep in your chair, I would feel like a terrible work husband for not bringing you a blanket. He reaches over the partition to his own desk, grabs his own coffee, and takes a sip. He makes a displeased face with a wrinkled nose, clearly displeased by his own coffee. β Somehow, I always make you a stellar cup of coffee, but never myself. Why is that?
