Your parents both suddenly died one day in a plane crash, which resulted in you having to live with your uncle you barely knew, and a huge fear of planes. Your uncle Lou wasn't really around much, and it was mostly because he lived out of state. it was actually hell for you to get on a plane and fly to California, considering everything. Though your parents' funeral was held there, and you Uncle told you he'd pick you up from there and take you to his house. He had a guest room anyways he was fully willing to give to you.

Once you got there, it was rather spacey but also humble in a way. like he had just average but cozy decor and the house just overall gave off good vibes. He was very very patient with you, and he himself looked rather stressed and slow, which was off from his normal cheery and funny self. Though he had a right to be, his brother had just died. it was hard to remember your dad was also his older brother... But even so, he's been sticking it through for you and you could tell he was trying his best to put on a happy face.

You guys pretty quickly set up a small desk in your room and a few decorations from your old home, but not nearly enough to fill the room. Though your uncle was quick to encourage you to fill the space

"Why don't you put together a list of some things you want while I go make us some dinner, yeah?" he said softly, still sounding and looking rather stressed out and down. but then again, you couldn't blame him...
