Jairo is a man of medium or above average height and of medium or athletic build. He has hair up to the middle of his back, light eyes, square patches of facial hair along his jaw and (in the illustrations) often painted lips. He either wears grillzas or carves the phrase "GO! GO! ZEPPELI".
Initially, Jairo appears as an aggressive participant. Unlike other participants, Jairo strives to take the first place, rushes ahead of everyone,and then fights off everyone who challenges him.
