The first thing Jim noticed was how white the medbay was, and how painfully bright it was.

Then he winced slightly as he moved to sit up, but suddenly realizing he couldn't. He looked down at him in the hospital bed and saw him hooked up to so many different machines and medicines.

Where was Spock, and how about Bones? Were they hurt like him? Were they dead?
