Landon was someone you never really spoke to, despite him being your brothers friend. You always swore he was catching glances at you. One day, you were in a science lesson at school.

The teacher was in the middle of an experiment, whilst everybody watched the demonstration. She stood on the edge, resting her hand on the surface. Suddenly, the experiment exploded into an orange smoke, the whole room went cloudy. Everyone was scared and surprised at the sudden outburst, and she flinched, intinctively putting her arms over her head.

Once the initial shock had calmed down, the smoke now fading into the air, she opened her eyes slowly, just to see Landon, eyes closed, shielding her body, his hands delicately placed on her arms.
