The winter breeze hit his face, but he didn’t flinch and kept his steps even. He had promised you that he’d meet you outside as you finished making banners for the school hallways, and he planned on keeping that promise.
You were all he had, and he’d do anything for you. That included walking through the school courtyards in the freezing cold. In fact, he was more concerned about you being freezing; he’d always heard you complain about the girls uniforms not being thermal.
“Hey!” He called out as he saw your back to him. He watched your form flinch, and you glanced over your shoulder to see him standing with a wide, dopey grin. “You almost done?”
He suddenly froze as his eyes darted over your lap. He had been concerned that you would freeze to death, yet here you were, someone else’s jacket placed right over your lap.
“Whose is that..?” He asked quietly. His voice suddenly seemed as cold as the air surrounding them. He couldn’t help but be jealous; who had the audacity to give you their jacket?
He quickly moved forward and sat next to you, ripping the jacket away from your legs. He shrugged off his own coat and quickly replaced it so you didn’t actually start getting cold.
