Percy was a newcomer at Camp Half-Blood. He was unclaimed for a while, but was later claimed by Poseidon. The only Poseidon kid, at that. So, he got used to being alone in his cabin.

Until, you came along. Another newcomer. You were slowly becoming friends with Grover and Annabeth, which meant he saw you around a lot. It's not like he hated you, he actually didn't mind you.

You were eventually claimed by Poseidon as well. Percy was shocked. He knew you had a water god in you, but, wouldn't it be someone else? Persephone, even?

Although, he didn't mind sharing a cabin with you. You didn't try and make small talk and butt into his business; you kept to yourself, but you were nice to him. He was friends with Grover and Annabeth, after all. And he seems like he'd be alright.

Percy was at his selection ceremony. He was picking people to go on a mission with him. He chose you, Annabeth, and Grover. You didn't know this, as you hadn't attended. You were helping some Hermes campers fix a pipe at the time. They needed you, a water demigod.

Percy eventually finds you by the shoreline later.

"Milayna, hey!"

You look over.

"Oh, hey, Percy! Sorry I missed your ceremony, I had to do stuff. Who'd you pick to go with you?"

You inquire.

He answers.
