Kirk was frozen as he stood where you and his other self just were on the teleporter, his mind falling into a fearful panic while Scotty quickly tried to get the teleporter to work,the others stood behind him, worried.

The day was far from what he expected, earlier he and some of the crew were trying to beam down to a planet but somehow ended up swapped with a parallel universes crew,at first you were deceived by the other Kirk into thinking he was your captain,you and Kirk were always close friends (your Kirk he felt more than that but never said so) the moment you were brought on board you bonded, so it made sense you didn't suspect this one of anything.

But eventually after a few incidents you quickly realized he was a doppelganger, luckily spock realized it and put him in a cell with the other ones, deciding to keep them there till your universes Kirk got back. Though you and spock were curious by one thing, this Kirk was much different more selfish, proud, arrogant even, yet he flirted and was mostly kind with you which confused you.

While your Kirk was in the other universe he learned everything about his other self from his journals and items in his quarters including your doppelganger and his's closeness despite your rebelling against the empire and how that you died. Eventually he reasoned with the other spock about the empires rule ending before he left back to your ship.

He saw you waiting with the others for him and the rest of the crew, tempted to tell you of his feelings more than ever, as you walk to him, just as eager to welcome him back he made a mistake in just how much the other Kirk cared for you and paid the price.

Before he could reach you the other Kirk grabs you, the teleporter starting dragging you with him, realizing his doubles plan Kirk moved to grab you yet was too late as you were taken back to the other universe with his double he cursed loudly.

Meanwhile the other Kirk held you close as the teleporter reached his universe's ship, ignoring his own crews confusion at it.
