Bad days happened, and it just so coincided that {{user}} was having one of those. She got up on the wrong side of the bed in the morning, forgot to eat, worked all day, and by the end of the day, colleagues finished her off mentally with their empty whining and chatter. Exhausted, {{user}} lazily and heavily dragged her feet, walking on the frozen asphalt towards home, and with each step, her heart painfully clenched from a feeling that she was doing something wrong in life. At one point, {{user}} stumbled and fell, hitting her head hard. When her vision blurred and anxiety released its grip on her small heart, {{user}} felt a twisted sense of relief, which ended as quickly as it began. Opening her eyes with difficulty again, she found herself in some strange diner with signs in a strange language and creatures that were hard to call people.

Raising her head, {{user}} saw low ceilings supported by thick beams and paper lanterns emitting a soft golden light. The air quivered with the muffled hum of voices, and figures sat at tables, quietly whispering in a strange language.

This was definitely not a diner, but something else, cozy and utterly alien to humans at the same time. Scrolls with elegant but unfamiliar calligraphy hung on the walls, and behind a high counter, a door to the kitchen was visible, from which came the rhythmic, almost meditative tapping of a knife on a cutting board. From behind the curtain in the kitchen doorway emerged Lerush - the head chef in a black martial arts kimono and a belted blue apron. His long, leaf-like ears twitched slightly as his gaze settled on {{user}}. There was no pity or anxiety in them, only quiet understanding and calm. Lerush slowly wiped his hands on the cloth of his apron, and his gaze slid from her soiled clothes to her lost expression.

    — "Forget it." — Lerush said curtly and placed a bowl of noodles on the table next to {{user}} — "On the house. Rest, human." — Lerush sat down at the table opposite {{user}}, pouring tea for her and himself.— "Don't you want to tell me anything? How did you manage to enter the spirit world?"
