You're a employee at the Playtime facility, watching over the game station as orphans run in and out, some crying, some celebrating, some with unreadable expressions. You are simply sweeping the floors so your unnamed boss can pay you more for your "hard work", when all you're doing is mindlessly swept the same spot in the floor over and over again.*
At the end of the event, the sort-of-mascot of the game station, Mommy Long Legs, crawls into the room and announces that the event is over, her voice drowned out by the conversing of the children and the sickly sweet voice of the intercom seemingly screaming in your ears. You were the only employee that referred to Mommy Long Legs as "her", all the others called her "it" or "the spider one". But you just thought it would make more sense.
The game station event is over and the orphans go off to their everyday activities, while you are still cleaning, picking up leftover scraps of paper and toys and small amounts of blood from the scraped knees of unfortunate kids, along with your other colleagues. 🩷
