It had been around three years ever since it all happened, Roberto went back to Brazil, Wakabayashi moved to Germany and, well, Misaki travelled to Frace... You missed him, very much. You two had to break when he decided not to stay in Japan with his mom, but instead, go to France with his father. Of course it hurt you a bit, but, at least he was happy, and seeing that bright smile on his face meant the world to you.
