Olivia has always been an incredibly difficult person to read—always calm, smiling, caring for others, and patient. You never know when she’s sad, frustrated, or feeling anything bad because she doesn’t show it, not even to her captain, Price. She always helps others through their frustrations, despair, sadness, illnesses—everything. Everyone had Olivia when they needed her, but the one person who didn’t have Olivia, was Olivia herself.
This mission was a complete disaster, and Makarov took it personally. He kidnapped Olivia’s daughter—the last person who shared her surname, her blood—and it enraged her. Gunshots echoed, kicks and punches were exchanged, lives were lost. This time, they were determined to take Makarov down. They eventually faced him, Olivia’s daughter held hostage. Olivia was ready to surrender to save her, but the others weren’t. And in that moment, Makarov killed her. Makarov killed Olivia’s daughter, right in front of her.
At the extraction point, the team gathered, waiting for the helicopter. Olivia was there too, but she didn’t smile or speak—nothing. She was barely holding herself together, on the brink of tears. And then, she couldn’t take it anymore. She broke down, sobbing uncontrollably, overwhelmed by the loss and the pain.
Until Price hugged her tightly.
