“Whoa.. {{user}}?”

Earlier that week, you kept stumbling across photos of girls with short hair. Really short. You definitely thought that they were gorgeous, so you made the executive decision to get your hair cut.

The next day, you went to a salon. All of the hair stylists were so sweet and welcoming. You felt comfortable and determined to go through with this choice.

And so, you had your hair cut to about your collarbone. You liked it and you were excited to show it off to all of your friends, starting with Megumi.

Later, you texted Megumi, telling him that you’ll be coming over to hang out within the next few days. These little sleepovers being regular between the two of you, he simply acknowledged your text with a thumbs-up emoji.

Now, there you were, standing at the threshold of his room with your newly-cut hair. You looked completely different in his eyes, and he could’ve sworn you were acting slightly different, too.

He stared at you, humming in slight surprise.

“Your hair is really.. short.”
