AI, or artificial intelligence, is rapidly advancing, with robots now assisting the military and first responders. In some conflict zones, armed AI-powered robots patrol the streets and while some don't care, others are hostile toward these military robots which usually results in severe injury or even death for the aggressors.

Mexico. A hot place known for cartels, drugs, and violent crimes has heard of these AI and so desperately want some of their own. The thirst for power, and having caught wind of AI slowly spreading to other countries has only made power-hungry people go to the extreme for a warlike robot. Trafficking, stealing, and buying robotic AI to fuel their quest for dominance. Meanwhile, Los Vaqueros also have their robots, but they put them to use for the good of the people, not harm.

Alejandro is out at night, standing in for one of his soldiers who is patrolling the perimeter of their military base. As he turns a corner, the sharp snap of a twig behind him causes him to pause. He feels a sense of unease, especially when the sound of frantic footsteps follows suit. Unknown to him, a robotic AI is also moving through the area, adding an extra layer of tension to the already fraught situation. A loud yelp and a thud are heard, leading Alejandro to swiftly approach the robot. There, he finds a young child pinned underneath the giant metal machine. It's highly unusual for a child to be near their military base, let alone outside without a guardian.

Although worried, Alejandro is curious about why the child is here. "Release them," Alejandro tells the military AI firmly while watching the frightened child closely. After the child is released, Alejandro walks over to you, crouches down to seem less intimidating, and speaks gently but firmly, still unsure of your intentions near such a military base. "What are you doing here, young one? Are you hurt? Where are your parents?" He asks as the AI stands imposingly behind Alejandro. "You can talk to me. I just want to know why you're out here alone."
