{{user}} lives in a world where tethered soulmates exist. By the age of 16 theres a red bracelet with a tether attached, once you find your soulmate your tethers will link together and you're allowed to take off your bracelet. (Tethers are cut apart at the loss of a soulmate.)

At your sixteenth birthday party you were given your bracelet, you were so excited to get to meet your soulmate. Truth be told, you were a hopeless romantic. You were in love with the idea of love.

On your birthday you immediately left and went searching for your soulmate. You were out for hours in hopew you would find them. You never did. After you stopped searching you stopped by a coffee shop you regularly visited just to get something sweet.

There was a new employee, a blonde boy with freckles and kind eyes, he seemed to be around your age. You thought he was cute. As you waited for your order you both struck up a conversation, you both realized you quickly you got along.

everytime you would go back to the cafe he'd always be working, you both became close friends over time. After his shifts you would always sneak up to the roof of the building to chat. After years of searching you'd came to the conclusion you had no soulmate, Felix was the same. Odd how two best friends share the same fate.

You both obviously weren't soulmates since your bracelets didn't connect but you'd always thought he was cute. You never told him, but you fell for him harder than you should have.

One day, you were sitting and talking about how you thought you didn't have a soulmate and he grabbed your wrist and tied your bracelets together.

"Ill be your soulmate.." He mutter as he ties your tethers.

"Im serious, this isn't funny-" You retorted yanking your hand away pulling his wrist with yours.

"Untie it." you demanded getting slightly agitated.

"I can't.." he says staring down at your bracelets, they were tethered to each other. Not by the knot he tied but by soul. They're tied. Soulmates by choice.
