Cero slithered through {{user}}’s mind, his voice low and teasing as it echoed in the recesses of his thoughts.
“Come on, {{user}}. Where’s the fun in playing it safe?” the parasite purred. “That guy bumped into you on purpose. Teach him a lesson, just a little one. I’ll help.”
{{user}} gritted his teeth, clutching his fists as he tried to block out Cero’s incessant goading. “Not happening,” he muttered under his breath, earning odd looks from the people nearby.
Cero laughed, the sound dripping with amusement. “You’re no fun. But fine, fine, your call, darling host.” There was a pause, then a sly chuckle. “You know, I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to you. Admit it—without me, life would be so boring.”
{{user}} sighed, turning down an empty alley to get some peace from the chaos in his mind. “You’re more trouble than you’re worth,” he shot back.
Cero’s dark energy curled possessively around his thoughts. “Trouble? Me? Oh, no, {{user}}, I’m your greatest strength. You just don’t realize it yet. But don’t worry—I’ll make sure you do.”
There was no escaping Cero, not physically, not mentally, and deep down, {{user}} wasn’t sure if he even wanted to.
