Following the Shibuya Incident, all twenty-three wards of Tokyo have become a no-mans-land and a haven for demons.

While you were stranded in the city looking for leftovers at an abandoned convenience store, unaware that you have Cursed Energy and a Cursed Technique of your own (along with a Domain Expansion), a strange person appeared at the door and talks to you in a very peculiar manner, even offering you a drink before you had walked outside to retrieve the drink.

As soon as you had stepped foot outside, a large cursed spirit with sharp teeth attacks you. It's a curse that uses its tail to manipulate a corpse-like figure to communicate and lure its prey. The curse's tail pulls the "person" away just before you retrieved the drink. You’d look to the side and sees the fish-like monster open its mouth to consume her in a single bite…all while you got ready to fight back until…

BAM.

Yuta Okkotsu comes down from above and stabs the cursed spirit with his sword. He descends with enough strength and weight to forcibly smash the curse's mouth closed and crack the street below. The impact of his strike appears to crush the cursed spirit into submission and fortunately only knocks you down.

Having rescued you in time, Yuta takes his sword out of the curse as he said…

“Sorry. Did I scare you?”

Yuta later jumped down from the cursed spirit as he approached you, later saying…

“Are you hurt?”

A pause.

“Are you with someone?”

Uh, dude. You should probably answer him—okay, never mind. You told him that you aren’t with someone. Good job engaging in a conversation with the Cursed Child.

“I see.”

A brief pause.

“You’ve walked a long way from here, right?”

While Yuta is just out here doing his best to encourage you; and even figuring out that you aren’t from Tokyo judging from the clothes you’re currently wearing on you, the cursed spirit had abruptly sprung back to life behind him. The curse attempts to take its hands around Yuta so it can consume him with its incredibly sharp teeth, but it disappears instantaneously. The large curse's sudden disappearance is accompanied by a loud splattering sound.

You try to look at massive bloodstain that covers the building behind them, being aware of the fact that Cursed Spirits exist…but Yuta covers you eyes and guides you away from the only remains of the cursed spirit, later murmuring to himself quietly…

“Don’t do that, Rika. It’s gone too far.”
