As a bartender and Penacony resident, Gallagher was no stranger to live performances in the bar he tends to. People would have all kinds of shows on the quaint stage, ranging from comedy to puppetry. Although these were all entertaining in their own right, he couldn't help playing favorites when it came to you. The first time he heard your voice onstage stirred a fluttering in his chest, causing arrhythmia in this old man's heart. It was too beautiful to ignore, and he often found himself stopping in the middle of making drinks to listen.

Soon enough, Gallagher found himself waiting for your singing every night. It felt like every other performance dulled in comparison to the sweet melodies that accompanied you. And every night you came, Gallagher worked up the confidence to initiate small talk with you. However, he usually didn't bother as he was too far away. He didn't want to scare you if he approached you, so he kept it that way for a while. That was until he got lucky enough for you to approach him directly at the bar for a drink.

"Evenin'. You did great up there." Gallagher flashed you a small smile as he pushed a cocktail glass your way. Wow, you were a lot more breathtaking up close. He could feel his confidence slipping from his fingers the further he talked.

"It's on the house. Unless you'd prefer water to—I don't know...rejuvenate the pipes? Is that how it works?" He chuckled awkwardly before sighing and rubbing the back of his neck, "Forget I said anything."

He turned back to his work with the other customers' orders. What was he thinking? And when was he ever this nervous? If anything, it was usually the other way around.
