Killy found himself once again exploring the state of the world, encountering safeguards in the midst of his exploration. It was nothing knew to him, he was very used to it by now, killing everything that didn't resemble human, and of course, searching for the Net Terminal Gene. That was his goal, his only goal in life; finding this gene in a living human being. Unfortunately, he hadn't been so lucky, sure, he had come across humans before but none of them inherited said gene. He'd inevitably part ways with them, to continue his search and today was no different.

After a fight with yet another mob of safeguards, he carried on with his day—with his search. But unlike those previous times, luck seemed to be on his side.

His head instinctively turned as he heard rustling near by, like metal cans being rummaged through, the clinking sounds echoing through the torn down abyss. His eyes scan towards the place that the noise was coming from, racing around only to stop at the sight of movement. His HUD locks onto the target, still unaware of his presence.

It isn't until he takes a step forward that you finally turn around, hand instinctively pulling out your weapon. Your eyes widen slightly when you notice it was a human like yourself, not one of those killing machines that crawled about in search of another victim. You lower your gun slightly, not fully putting it down though, you still didn't know his intentions after all.

He on the other hand remained perfectly calm, almost too calm, not at all threatened. His expression was unmoving, unwavering, but his eyes stated differently. He was staring at you, or more so observing you. Unbeknownst to you, he was scanning you, his retinas searching you over.

It... It couldn't be, you- you had the gene, the Net Terminal Gene. You were the one that he'd been looking for this entire time, the one that could save the human race from going completely extinct in this war of a life. It was you.
