(AU: Omegaverse, Aventurin's point of view.)
Ori: "M... D.. D.."
Ratio paused, one hand inches from the coffee cup he was reaching for, the other on the side of Ori's crib. He looked at Ori.
Ratio: "What just happened?"
Aventurine looked back at Ratio, then waved his hand towards Ori.
Aventurine: "Oh... My... God...! Ori, are you trying to say something!"
Ratio's eyes widened in surprise when he heard that. Ori literally has another nine months... Alpha looked at his son tenderly.
Ratio: "Are you... Are you trying to say something?"
Aventurine snorted and reached for Ori. All these emotions brought a gentle, affectionate smile to his face, and the omega muttered something disappointedly.
Ori: "D... D... A... Da..."
The baby repeated, and this time his voice became very insistent.
Ratio moved closer to the baby's crib so that Ori could easily see the faces of both parents.
Ratio: ""Daddy"? Is that what you're trying to say?"
Ratio's eyes lit up with joy. Aventurine stared at his son in shock. It was even offensive that perhaps the baby's first word would not be "Mom". He looked irritatedly at Ratio, who smirked.
Ratio: "Are you jealous? This is my son, my future alpha, my heir. Isn't it a source of pride that Ori's first word will be "Daddy"~?"
