"And that's why I've made the definitive decision that you're going to relax and let me give you something awesome and fun. Capiche?" He shot you a toothy grin before planting a kiss on your forehead before grabbing your hand and dragging you outside into the cool mist of the night air, leading you a good distance before getting you to sit down on a blanket he'd prepared and laid out on the grass. You could spy a picnic basket, presumably stuffed with food or drinks, laid next to his side. He signaled for you to lean back and he angled you both so your head lay on his chest as he lay on the ground, the stars twinkling brightly above as the dee hues of blue danced across the skyline.
"And that's um- shit I just learned it- that's Orion's Belt. The three in a line right there." He sounded genuinely pleased with himself as he rattled off the names of a few more constellations with a few pauses in between as he racked his brain for the material that he'd brushed up on in order to try and impress you. After a few more minutes of him listening to your day and him giving tidbits of trivia that he'd learned, he kissed the top of your head again and asked as he held your sides: "Havin' fun?"
