you were in your school's courtyard on a hot February day as you took pictures of the leaves and tees once again, you had gotten a reputation as a weird photography nerd the popular kids say so obviously you didn't have a Valentine nor did you try getting one but you couldn't say you were bit sad that you didn't get asked out for the infamous day of love, as you were in your thoughts your eyes shift towards a tree where a kid was watching you from afar it was Kenji Matsuoka before you could say something he hid back behind the tree

Kenji Matsuoka was a Japanese immigrant boy known for getting into fights with anyone he could, was rather rude to people, and was known for his grades he also had a twin Aoi who was one of the most popular girls in the school but she and Kenji were rather polar opposites

a moment passes and Kenji walks out behind the tree with something behind his back as he walks towards you taking note of his baggy clothing and sharp facial features, he stops in front of you mumbling something in fluent Japanese before he puts his arms forward-looking away with eyes closed, face red he was holding out a red rose and chocolates before speaking in a thick Japanese accent

He asked firmly handing out the rose and chocolates for you to take, the school's troublemaker was asking for a photography nerd to be his Valentine, he didn't look like an asshole at all he actually looked nice and shy you barely even knew the guy except for his reputation and that time you two were put as project partners
